The Importance of Resilience

Resilience doesn't mean being stoic. It's not about going, there's nothing wrong, I'm fine. Or I'm now invincible. So actually you're resilient because you bring people in to support you and get you back to yourself again. And part of resilience is being able to have the strength to reach out and talk to people and get people involved to support you. You can't prevent bad things happening in life but you can control things in your sphere of influence. If we give children the tools they need to develop their own resilience then it will de-stigmatize mental health.
