The Importance of Hebrew in the Gospels
If you read some of the gospel reports carefully you can discern words that were probably the Hebrew word that Jesus would have used. The gospels are written in Greek and it would have been most natural for him to speak Hebrew and Aramaic there are some exceptions for instance Pontius Pilate inscribes his the his title king of the Jews in three different languages including Greek.
