Scrooge and the Ghost

Ebenezer Scrooge is terrified that he will die either completely forgotten or scorned. The story ends with tiny Tim's god bless us everyone but I think the overwhelming effect at the end of a Christmas Carol was to feel rather revived and it gets one in the mood to be loving to other people and to remember that the future is in our hands we are not our past.
