The History of the Causa in Florida
The calusa believed in three main creator gods, and they believed that three different souls inhabited each person. Their settlements inland relied more on hunting of deer and other small mammals. They showed very little personal adornment. Jewels, it seems, were worn by the king and queen. And reportedly, they put on impressive ceremonies with large processions including priests and young women.
