He says over 35 million people have substance use issues worldwide, the most widespread substances of abuse are alcohol with heavy use at about 18% of the global population in the last month.Navneur: To what extent are people of lower SES and people from underrepresented groups likely to struggle with addictions relative to those of higher SES and majority groups?
