Introduction

I want to start by talking a little bit about how I think the future of progress in the, can everyone see this by the way? Can everyone hear me? Yeah. And one of the schematics I always like to, like to use is that I think you can think of two basic axes for progress in the world, a globalization and technology. They often get used as ideas that are almost interchangeable. But I think we can sort of, if we sort of define technology as doing new things and a globalization as copying things that work or perhaps you can consider a globalization of horizontal or extensive progress where you progress by going from, you know, one typewriter to a million typewrit
