Data Catalogs in Excel?

Excel is sort of like the dark matter of the data world. There's a system that you want people to use, and there's a system they use. It has to accept Excel as an application in itself if people did something wild in a spreadsheet. But I don't think it would be. It very quickly becomes inefficient with anything else in Excel.
