Getting the Right API in the Wrong Implementation
There's no consensus on how that ap i should look, so we could just go with there now and see how it goes. People dramatically underestimate the difficulty of changingapi once it shipped. It's better to get the right api in the wrong implementation than the other way around. So i think it really pays off in the longer run, even though it may look like delaying an sort of bike shedding in the short term.
