The Role of the Rural in Left Feminism
I'm fascinated by where things like the rural figure in an understanding of left feminism and what we can kind of take away from your interview with from WERS. I was struck by something you said about Nancy Fraser about towards the end of the interview bringing up questions of kind of ecology issues around the climate crisis. Well Ron's book at Return of a Native is really an amazing interdisciplinary and thick description of the area in which she grew up. It links together her interests in gender, race class, ecology and peace including others. So providing a really kind nuanced interwoven sense of how those themes interconnect.
