Canadian Journalists - Who Qualifies?
If a news organization wants to be given this government stamp of qualified canadian journalism organization, what do they have to do? Well, the three criteria that we look at are they engaged in the production of original news content. And then there's the regular employment of at least two journalists, which work at arm's length from the organization. The point of the board is that these are journalism experts. One part that you are responsible for is determining if the employees are journalists or not. How do you determine who is a journalist and who isn't?
