The universal precat program in d c was so successful thatt it kind of broke the child care market. If your child isn't a child care centr, you're paying an average of 23 or 24 thousand per kid. That's about ten thousand dollars higher than the national average for child care. The reason child care costs are so high is because universal pre c totally disrupt how child care providers operate.
