How Can I Translate From English to American?

The flying that I've done in the United Kingdom is not impossible to translate to the United States, but it's not the same. And things that would otherwise be open, especially to American veterans are closed to me because I'm a foreign veteran in this instance. Even though I've got all this experience, it would still cost me 30 to $50,000.
