Elder ezetef benson and boydk packer are prime examples of this reaction. The sixties were a time of rapidly increasing liberalism that d a fundamentalis reaction in the seventies and eighties. I disagreed with elder benson's extreme political views, particularly as past support for the john burke society and joseph mc carthy. And he challenged me to keep watching general conference and see that this preaching of extremest politics over the church pulpit would end.
