Jeremy Hunt to Announce £4Billion Boost for Childcare in England

Jeremy Hunt is expected to announce a £4 billion expansion of free childcare for one and two year olds in England. Parents who work currently claim for 33 hours a week for three and four year olds. Caroline, I hate calling it free because it's not really always free. It's basically usually subsidised. The government doesn't pay the same rate as the nurseries usually have to pay their staff. So it actually ends up being a subsidy rather than free.
