Beethoven's Exposition
Beethoven takes a fragment of the theme and turns it into a minni can. Throughout the exposition, themes cascade over each other in an inexhaustible way. The second theme group is essentially a series of dotted rhythms that are much more about rhythmic propulsion than they are about melody.
