The Trinity and the Gospel

I think too often we sort of get the doctrine of the Trinity from Scripture and then set about figuring out how to organize it in a way that we think might be pedagogically helpful. For at least this project I wanted to rehearse in the form of the book the manner of the Trinity's revelation, not historically speaking but sort of substantively speaking. That means a little bit of time has to be spent early on the nature of revelation. But after that it jumps right into the fact that we know God is Father, Son, and Spirit because of the salvation historical missions that is the sending of the Son and the Spirit into salvation history.
