The head of illusion is two vertical straight lines like that. Because they've got a fancy background, they look curved. But in something like the head of illusion, the lines really do look bent. And when you try and describe it, you say, look, it's bent. But of course, there's nothing bent there. There's nothing bent on the PowerPoint slide illustrating the illusion. So where does the... yet somehow 'bent' seems to be the right word?
