The horse is immune to poison, so you can ride through poisoned swamps without constantly getting poisoned. The summoning stuff just makes everything weigh easier in certain circumstances. It provides another agro point for bosses to focus on long enough for you to catch your breath and use your health potion. But therre sto iis enemies that a one shot you, or almost one shot o including these giant golums with giant axes that, like, will swing.
