I think what appeals to me about documentary filmmaking is that you're there. It's very difficult filmmaking because, you know, most documentaries are set up. And I just shoot and shoot and shoot to try to get the essence of a person. There was never that pressure for me to make a documentary that's going to sound on Netflix or had to sell. In fact, they all were like, let's make a work of art that does justice to Selena.
