What's the Motivation of a Client?
Carol Costello: The first part of being mindfully alert to your goals is essentially, what do you want to get done? And then the options generator is how it's the pathway to achieve those. She says a common indicator with clients who kind of give up is that they don't have a strong enough why. Costello: Most CEOs jobs are 80% terrible and 20% beyond spectacular. But for that 80%, I find that if you have a real sense of meaning and purpose, why you're doing this, why it matters, then you can take on almost anything," she says.
