The Division of Israel and Judah
David is going to be the first to conquer Jerusalem. The Jebusites were the original inhabitants of Jerusalem and Joshua had tried to drive them out, but wasn't able to do so. David was able to capture Jerusalem and Jerusalem then becomes the capital of the ancient kingdom. This is another point that it took me a while to learn, but like verse seven, you're talking about an city of David in Jesus' time. So there's many different definitions of Israel. That's exactly true.
