The Effects of Epinephrine on the Body

As epinephrine starts to circulate throughout the body, it brings on a number of physiological responses that happen very, very quickly. It pushes blood through the muscles, the heart and other vital organs. Pulse rate, blood pressure go up. The individual undergoing these changes begins to start breathing more rapidly. Epinephrine triggers is the release of blood sugar, glucose. Too much cortisol for prolonged period time, not good, can lead to prolonged physiological reactions such as weight gain.
