Shari Hamid: We must not let democracy get captured by the progressive woke agenda. She says a more minimalist definition of democracy has emerged amongst self-proclaimed centrists. This is what she calls democratic minimalism, and it's our best bet for resolvingdemocratic dilemmas both at home and abroad.Hamid: Democracy should be decoupled from liberal and progressive outcomes that liberals and progressives think it should produce.
