Lamb number six LL3 came into the world on July 5th, 1996 at the Roslyn Institute in Scotland. Scientists had cloned a frog more than 30 years earlier in 1953. But cloning a frog isn't the same as cloning a sheep or even a dog. Every animal presents its own unique set of obstacles when it comes to cloning. Dolly was made from an adult cell. She was the first identical copy of an adult mammal.
