Pig Poop Fertilizer

In historically, in regions of East and South Asia, communities of people used pig poop fertilizer that was made from digested human poop. Humans would sit on holes in an elevated building and their poop would be funneled down and mixed with other food in the pig pin below. Today, these pig toilets have largely been replaced by more sanitary structures. Farmers regularly use nutrient-rich manure from animals to help fertilize crops.
