Do the Cells Still Respond to Mechanical Force?

Post doctor betron cost, decided to find it in a cell that was mechano sensitive. He would remove one from the cell and ask, does the pressure sensing still work? After repeating thi 72 times, which took him a whole year, when he took out number 72, the cell was quiet. It did not respond to this pushing of it. And we knew we had found it. Then did he get all excited when he saw that? He's a very, very calm guy, so he didn't. But then as i understood what he found, it was obviously very, very exciting.
