Bridget everett does sing in every episode, but she isn't performing in every episode. structurally, the songs are actually doing something, and her relationship to them is telling you something about the character. And that's more satisfying than if they hadake the more obvious route. What a cliche choice that would have beennd thatb that cleasha thing. If you've ever seen bridget everett perform, that clead chat thing would work, because she would be able to sell it. But instead of making that sort of easy, very satisfying, obvious choice, they went a different, subtler way. I love hearing great musical theatre artists, the most talented performers
