Is There Such a Thing as Income Inequality?

Income inequality in the U.S. is growing at a faster rate than it was in 1947, says Sen. Lindsey Graham. The Census Bureau counts only one third of all transfer payments as income to the people who receive them and doesn't deal with tax credits or other forms of government assistance. But if you count alltransfer payments as income but don't take taxes into account, there's no evidence that top earners are saving 50% of their income. "We're having a big debate about redoing the whole American economy to deal with growing income inequality"
