Is There Any Intelligent Life Yet?

A Chinese author wrote a book called The Dark Forest which is about this theory of why we haven't found aliens yet. He says that everyone else who's intelligent in the universe knows you shouldn't yell loudly at a dark forest where they are a predators. And so it could be that they are just like killer aliens headed for us because we've been so loud and obnoxious.
