Is There a Sensation of Degradation?

When soils become degraded, the actual definition of degradation is that their productive capacity is diminished. And so if plants can't grow at a fast rate, they can't take out siotoo from the atmosphere and then bring it ultimately into the soil. Any small change in the rate at which carbon is being taken up or released from soil with respect to the atmosphere makes a huge difference for our climate system.
