The Killing Was the Purpose of the War

The noes could have stopped their holocost machinations and used the people they had imprisoned to build implements to further the war effort, which they did to some degree. Instead of doing what you think would be rational in the pursuit of what was hypothetically their goal, they amped up the killing and and took resources away from the war itself. And that's how idiology degenerates. The narrower the box that you stuff yourself into, the weaker your character becomes. Because there's nothing left of you. You're just a shell that has demons in it, but you're still the sort of thing that can suffer....
