Most symptoms will develop at a corrected total calcium level of one point nine milmols per leader and below. Patients with severe hypo chalcemia can have airway compromise with strider and laringo spasm. They can also be hypotensive and braticartic conduct a full neuralogical exam, including reflexes and a sets for muscle weakness. A bedside pocus may show signs of decreased cardiac contractility. There are four steps to the work up of hypo calcemia. The first is to confirm the diagnosis. Second is to get an ec g. Third is to investigate for the eteology. And fourth is to assess for long term bone damage
