If you were foreign secretary, what would you have done? I've spent the last two or three weeks on the phone to ministers, n gos and military officers in afghanistan. Part of it is just to say, guys, you're not alone. You know we sent you there, and we care,. What you're doing matters, and i'm with you. No, i'm not in the executive branch of government, so all i can do is say, parliament is with them, which it is. That's what i did.
