The Moral Theory of Self-Interest
I think it's okay to admit that we're contingent human beings, made of atoms obeying the laws of physics. And this thing called our moral goals are very reliant on historical contingent things,. But happily, we agree on a lot and we can build from what we agree sensible moral systems. If you have a moral theory that actually is better at creating cooperative behavior than other kinds of theories, then that's the one we should use in designing these vehicles.
