How to Apply a High Voltage to a Transistor
In a pa moss, the doped regions under the source and drain are p dope region. They have a deficiency of electrons, or in other words, an excess of holes. In this situation, when you apply a negative voltage to the gate, that leads to electrons being pushed away from a negative potential,. This leads to an inversion layer of accumulated holes, which connects the p doped regions underneath the source and the drain, leading to the circuit turning on.
