Soma is about you and your character, at leastadand what happens to them. And that can be horrifying. You have to jab things in your eye a lot. That's always unpleasant. Any sort of, like self mutilation, or like, something normal happens to your character, i think, is kind of scary. There's just something very weird about seeing a horrifying thing happen to the avatar of you, and then you're like, oh, I guess i'm fine. The trope of having to watch some one die an increasingly brutal ays every time you get a game over bothered me so much. It was really borrowing from the descent. Have etheryou seen the descent
