The Reaction to Ozimpic
A clip of a woman talking about her weight loss on the Oscars red carpet was met with outrage. The reaction suggested that we have not yet reached an inflection point when it comes to body image and disordered eating. There's also this new class of drugs that has come to dominate the headlines called ozimpic or more specifically GLP dash one receptor agonist. We'll discuss what these two seemingly Oppositional forces have in common and whether they spell the end of the body positivity movement as we know it.
