The Life in the Works and Shakespeare's Ability to Create Believable Characters

Shakespeare's ability to create believable characters with the life of their own is an astonishing achievement on his part. I don't completely understand how he did it, though I can see certain things one could say about how he does it. He very rarely, as you know Charlie, very rarely made up stories from scratch. But he picks up and transforms. Or somehow we had something in him that enabled stories to seize him.
