Peter Tuggill's theory was that British bands were copying their American influences, and then later on they became more British. That doesn't really work - we still have loads of British artists that sing with American accents. Adele is a perfect example: She speaks with a cockney accent, just like Charlotte Aubrey, but she sings in an American accent. And I'm gonna try and play you an example now.
