Can Prebiotics Improve Blood Sugar Regulation?
The positive effects of oligosaccharides were more notable in patients with a higher degree of metabolic derangement as seen in obesity and diabetes. Three to five grams per day might be the sweet spot for which we have a favorable impact on the gut microbiota, but we don't see an appreciable increase in gastrointestinal side effects.
