I love those stories that pull you in where you suddenly think I really don't know what's going to happen next. Good story keeps you gripped a story with twists and turns or surprises in it. As an example, Ace Ventura doesn't have... Most of the elements are not there. It's got a bad story. The characters are two-dimensional. Also the script is really important. It has to be like snappy script with funny dialogue and really good natural use of language. Also the acting performances for me. So yeah, in my mind, a good story makes a good film. That can be any type of story that you can ever think of in the world.
