I believe that i just responded in a very human way to people who treated me like a human being, and that if my family were exposed to the same kind of thing that i was exposed to, that they would have left too. They haven't had those experiences yet, and that's the only difference between them and me. It seems like there are a lot of counter factual worlds where, if things had played out ever so differently, it might have been your family who left and not you, right?
