Every function or discipline has its jargon. That's very useful when you're talking to people in the discipline as a shorthand. But then you have to just back away from it when you'retalking to people outside your discipline. In any workplace, relationships are important. Are you able to get along and appreciate other people's points of view? So I think Adam Grant is a great expert on this. He talks about kindness in the delivery, but directness in the message. And I think it'll be forgiven for a lot if you kind of fumble over your words when you're trying to do that.
