Dostin Laver was charged with the murder of cab driver Daniel Odie. Dan's father didn't want his son to be represented by a public defender. The prosecution hired private attorney Jack Edmond, who later represented Leo Schofield at trial. While Dan sat in jail, people close to him started getting knocks on their doors.
