There's that line I think attributed to Aristotle by Nietzsche, cited in Derrida's The Politics of Friendship. Oh, friend, there are no friends, which has its paradoxical because there areno friends in the plural. But you're speaking to somebody, presumably your friend, complaining that there areNo friends,. So that you have friendship in that person that you're complaining to. Well, I think that there are different kinds of friendship.
