If the chance of sentient life developing on a planet is so tiny that it's more likely that there's sentient life all throughout the universe, and we're never going to run into it. As of 2021, well over half of people in the United States, 65% of Americans believed in aliens. The concept of extraterrestrial or extra dimensional, non human sentient life is having what public relations goons and paparazzi would call a moment.
