How to Cope With Overwhelming Thoughts
These are a list of coping thoughts. If you want to jot some of them down, but I also invite you to come up with your own. So let's say you're having a thought like this is fucked. The situation will not last forever. My feelings are like clouds. They come and then they go. It's too shell pass. For me personally, that was like, one of the most helpful coping thoughts I have and I use it all the time. You can instead ask yourself, can I shift my focus internally right now to a place that feels more positive or neutral? This is something from Marshall Linehan who created DBT.
