The Path to a Profitable Firm

In a perfect world, your internal processes are great and the client experience is great. But in situations where that's gonna be in conflict, I'm going to optimize for the client experience because I would rather have people pay me more money than my systems be absolutely perfect. A profitable firm means flexibility. It means I can work less if I want,. It means I at least have the choice to not like grind super, super hard because the work that we do is profitable. The old adage of double your prices and go home by noon is flawed. So depending on what your margins are, it generally ends up being like, you can go home at 10 or 11 in the morning.
