The House Minority Leader's Letter to the House Republican Committee on January 11th
Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-New Jersey, is the House minority leader. He's been under fire for refusing to testify before a congressional committee about his conversations with President Donald Trump after an attack on Washington D.C. On Friday he feigned amesia when asked if he told trump that he bore some responsibility for what happened in january sixth as chairman of the house intelligence committee. The question was whether or not this conversation took place during Thompson's time at the helm of the Intelligence Committee. In fact it did take place just five days later and Thompson has refused to answer any questions until now.
