The History of Vanta Black

Mauve is the French word for a flower that is a similar color. It was originally called imperial purple after the mollusk color of the ancient world. The idea that everyone should have access to colour is very new and skill at creating particular colours has been part of art history. We are now able to get our hands on almost any colour that we want at the drop of a hat, but if you go back a few centuries, that wouldn't be the case.
